New Screenprints

Finally getting round to updating my website with all the work iIhave been up to. Starting with my news/blog where I can chat more indepth about projects i have been working on. So I thought I would start with showing you the new prints i have been working on at Edinburgh Printmakers. Screenprinting is my first love - and it is the reason i discovered papercutting in the first place.

I studied textile design at Edinburgh college of Art and was creating large intricate stenciles to screenprint onto fabrics. Over ther years it was the stencils (or papercuts) that i kept coming back to and the rest is history (as they say). But i am so pleased that I can still use my screenprint knowlege to created limited edition prints of my papercuts. But i no longer use the original papercuts as stencils anymore. So here is my new Puffin and Swallow print - hope you enjoy seeing the process.

I am lucky enough to be able to print at Edinburgh Printmakers and it always such a treat. It’s a wonderful space where lots of different print disiplines can be done. They have everything you need, as well as lots of helpful advice and run amazing courses to get you into printing. So if you are local or passing through Edinburgh - do pop in.
